<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a tension control device capable of controlling a tape tension at arbitrary positions in a tape traversing path with respect to plural kinds of tapes having different coefficients of friction. etc. CONSTITUTION:A tape 10 is fed-out of a supplying reel 1 and taken-up by a take-up reel 2. The capstan tension computing element 52 in a tension detecting means 66 calculates the tension at a capstan 8 by the radius of the take-up reel. the driving current of a take-up reel motor and the driving current of a capstan motor. A tension pin tension computing element 53 calculates the tension at a tension pin 3 from the detected value of the tension arm angle sensor 6 of the tension pin 3. A tension pin target position forming means 65 calculates a target tension at the tension pin 3 for making the tension at a target position from calculated two tensions to be a prescribed value. A tension control means 64 drives the motor of the supplying reel 1 based on the calculated target tension.</p> |
