PURPOSE:To increase an operating temperature range and to lengthen an operation continuing time by selectively controlling three opening/closing valves between an outdoor heat exchanger and a room heat exchanger corresponding to an operating state. CONSTITUTION:Refrigerant at the time of cooling flows toward a compressor 1, a four-way valve 2 and an outdoor heat exchanger 3, or refrigerant at the time of heating flows toward the compressor 1, the valve 2 and a room heat exchanger 8, and both the refrigerators return to the compressor 1. On the other hand, information regarding outside air temperature, temperature of the exchanger 3, etc., is input to an outdoor unit controller 10 through an A/D converter 9, and information regarding room temperature, temperature of the exchanger 8, etc., is input to a room unit controller 11 through an A/D converter 12. The controller 10 controls the compressor 1, the valve 2 and an outdoor blower 13 based on the information, and controls opening/closing valves 7a, 7b, 7c. The controller 11 controls a room blower 14, etc. Thus, cooling at the time of a low temperature and heating at the time of a high temperature can be conducted.
