PURPOSE:To provide a sentence preparing device for an LED display device for making sentences within a specified limit lighting rate. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a key input processing means 5 for receiving sentences inoputted by a user, a display means 2 for displaying sentences and messages, a storage means 4 for storing the sentences received by the key input processing means and a lighting rate calculating means 7 for finding the lighting rate of a sentence from the number of lit dots on the LED display device corresponding to the character of the sentence, comparing its lighting rate with the specified limit lighting rate and outputting its result.
