PURPOSE:To provide a holding unit for linear carrying truck having no movable part in which nocontact holding state can be ensured without sustaining power supply. CONSTITUTION:A coil 14 having a core 15, made of a material having high remanent magnetic flux density, is protruding from the bottom face of a linear carrying truck 1. The coil 14 is fed with a forward DC current and a back ward DC current for canceling the remanence generated by the forward DC current. At a stop position of the truck, an iron piece 16 is disposed on the track 2 immediately below the coil 14. When the coil 14 is fed with forward DC current for a short time, the core 15 is attracted to the iron piece 16 by the remanence thus holding the linear carrying truck 1. When the truck 1 is released, the coil 14 is fed with DC current in reverse direction thus canceling the remanence. |
