PURPOSE:To provide a carrier detection circuit for a cordless telephone system by which the detection cycle of the presence of a carrier is quickened at carrier sense and an idle is quickly detected. CONSTITUTION:The cordless telephone system 10 of a multi-channel access system having a carrier discrimination section 7 introducing a carrier via a CR time constant circuit having a capacitor storing a voltage corresponding to the reception strength, a master set having a communication line connection function, and a slave set connected via a radio channel is provided with a short-circuit discharge section 2 short-circuiting and discharging the capacitor of the carrier discrimination section 7 and the short-circuit discharge section 2 is started by a channel switching signal LE. |
