<p>PURPOSE: To enable to view an image identical to the image displayed explicitly on a screen to be screen through another screen by using light lost due to the transmissivity of a two color mirror for transmitting one part of each of incident hue lights through light transmission or light reflection to a projecting lens. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a light source lamp 11, two color mirrors 12, 15, 16, and 17 having light transmission characteristics made different according to the wavelength or frequency of an incident light, liquid crystal panels 14, 18, and 19 for impressing R, G, and B video signals to the light projected from the light source 11, and reflecting mirrors 13 and 20 for changing an optical path. Then, this device is provided with a projecting lens 21 for projecting color pictures generated by the liquid crystal panels 14, 18, and 19 to a screen, and a video monitor 22 for displaying a picture formed by the light which is not transmitted to the projecting lens 21 due to the light transmission characteristics of two color lights. Thus, the picture displayed by a liquid crystal projector 10 can be seen through an image forming element 223 regardless of an angle at which the video monitor 22 or an image forming lens 221 are viewed.</p> |
