COVERING TUBE FOR WIRE CONNECTION PART

PURPOSE:To provide a covering tube, which can be installed in a wire connection part quickly without using a heating source and which obtain the excellent moisture-proofing effect, insulating effect and mechanical protecting effect with high reliability. CONSTITUTION:A covering tube 10 is provided with a tubular sleeve part 12 made of flexible material having electric insulating property and tubular seal parts 14 having electric insulating property and provided at each end of the sleeve part 12. The seal part 14 is provided with an elastic extending/shrinking element 16 formed integrally with the sleevel part 12 and a core element 18 arranged inside of the elastic shrinking element 16 and for holding the elastic shrinking element 16 under the condition that the diameter thereof is enlarged at a predetermined diameter dimension. The elastic shrinking element 16 is made of rubber material having electric insulating property, a high elasticity restoring rate and the excellent permanent extending characteristic. When the core element 18 is eliminated at the time of installing the covering tube 10 to a wire connection part, the elastic shrinking element 16 is tightly stuck to the outer surface of the coating of a wire by the elastic restoring force thereof.
