PURPOSE:To provide a vibrator which can be manufactured easily and to provide its manufacturing method without a step in which a central hole is made in a ceramic piezoelectric substance and a step in which an electrode material is put into the central hole. CONSTITUTION:The vibrator is provided with a pillar-shaped element 2 composed of a ceramic piezoelectric substance, with a central electrode 3 which is arranged and installed in the axial direction so as to pass the nearly central part of the element 2 and which is composed of a metal wire material and with an external electrode 4 which is arranged and installed on the outer face of the element 2. In addition, when the vibrator is manufactured, the metal wire material as an electrodeposition electrode is immersed in a slurry prepared in such a way that ceramic-piezoelectric-substance raw-material particles are dispersed in a solvent containing a surface-active agent, a voltage is applied, the ceramic-piezoelectric-substance raw-material particles which have been electrified are electrodeposited on the metal wire material, this assembly is fired and worked into a prescribed shape, and the external electrode is then formed on the outer face. |
