PURPOSE:To stabilize potential by providing intermediate layers of pyridine, pyridazine, pyrimidine and the like or derivatives thereof between an internal solid-state electrode and an ion sensitive film. CONSTITUTION:An internal solid-state electrode has a structure wherein a metal is brought into contact with a nonsoluble salt thereof and it can be produced by forming a layer of silver in the shape of a wire or a plate and by immersing it in a water solution of silver halide, for instance. As for an ion sensitive film, an ion carrier and an organic binder, for instance, are dissolved in a solvent and a solution thus prepared is applied on a non-water-soluble salt layer or the like and dried. Intermediate layers are introduced between the internal solid-state electrode and the ion sensitive film using a hydrophobic macromolecular substance as a support film, and they are constructed of pyridine, pyridazine, pyrimidine and the like or of derivatives thereof. Since these intermediate layers act for accelerating ionization on the interface of the internal solid-state electrode, a distribution balance is reached speedily between them and the ion sensitive film and thus potential can be stabilized. |
