PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of a bundle of defective form while maintaining high jam processing workability. CONSTITUTION:This sheet jam processor is a device for a sorter provided with a large number of bins 30a and 30b receiving the form on which an image is formed by a copying machine main body 1, a distribution path for connecting the copying machine main body 1 to the bins 30a and 30b and a carrying means distributing/carrying the forms from the side of the copying machine main body 1 to the bins 30a and 30b in the distribution path. This processor has a jam processor detecting the jam of the form in the distribution path and stops the carrying of the paper when the jam is detected. The removing of the jammed form by an operator is permitted during the carrying of the form is stopped and the paper remaining in the distribution path is ejected by driving the carrying means in a backward direction. |
