The subject of the invention is a heating sleeve for a curler, consisting of a cylindrical body split along one generatrix so as to form a clamp including two curved parts connected by a linking part opposite the split, the said body being produced from a mouldable or extrudable material capable of accumulating heat by means of the sleeve being placed over an elongate heating member. According to the invention, the heating sleeve consists of a translucent plastic material having a calorific power of at least 1.2 calorie per gram, particularly a silicone elastomer.
