The invention relates to a dishwasher filter unit comprising a collector in the bottom of the washing chamber which is divided into a suction space for the circulation pump and a waste pipe for the discharge pump, the suction space being covered by a fine filter and the waste pipe optionally by a coarse filter, and the two spaces being separated from each other by a very fine filter forming part of the filter unit, which filter is provided with terminal fixed filter parts that form upper and lower openings for the waste pipe. Filter unit characterised in that the very fine filter (9) separating the suction space (6) from the waste pipe (8) expands conically towards the bottom (10) of the collector and is made in the form of a frustum of a cone or pyramid, and in that the envelope (9a) of the very fine filter (9) is made of calendered filter fabric (15). <IMAGE>
