PURPOSE:To provide fiber type optical parts which connect a center core single mode optical fiber and an eccentric core single mode optical fiber with a small connection loss through a medium and keep the low connection loss state. CONSTITUTION:A first core 1 for connection is provided in the center part of a single mode optical fiber 6 for connection in the lengthwise direction of this optical fiber, and a second core 2 for connection is provided on the side peripheral part, and cores 1 and 2 for connection are coated with a clad 9. A mode coupling part 5 where the diameter is reduced to approach the cores 1 and 2 for connection each other is provided in the center of the optical fiber 6, and light passing one of cores 1 and 2 for connection is branched to the other by the mode coupling part 5. |
