<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for rotating an antenna at a high speed when radar equipment is mounted on a high-speed traveling object. CONSTITUTION:A rotary antenna 10 and fixed antenna 12 are mounted on radar equipment for high-speed traveling objects. The antenna 10 monitors the circumference of a traveling object and the antenna 12 monitors the front of the object. Since the radar video of the front of the object which is important to operate the object is obtained from the antenna 12, the high-speed rotation of the antenna 10 is not required. Since the signals transmitted form the antenna 10 are of an X band and those transmitted from the antenna 12 are of an S band, the size of the antenna 10 for the X band which is shorter in wavelength can be reduced. Regarding the front of the traveling object from which radar videos can be obtained from both of the antennas 10 and 12, the advantages of both the X and S bands can be enjoyed.</p> |
