<p>PURPOSE:To provide a color filter which is easily produced and is reduced in size and enhanced in performance by providing the surface of a substrate having slopes consisting of plural angles with luminous fluxes with multilayered films. CONSTITUTION:The region A of the substrate 1 is a flat surface and the regions B and C are the slopes inclining at different angles. The luminous fluxes are respectively made incident at theta0, theta1 and theta2 (theta0<theta1<theta2) angles on these regions. Specific central wavelengths lambda0, lambda1, lambda2 are taken out of the respective regions by the principle of interference of light when white light is made incident on such filter from the light source side and is transmitted through the respective regions A, B, C of the multilayered films 2. The incident angle theta of the luminous fluxes of this time increases in order of the regions A, B, C like theta0<theta1<theta2 and, therefore, the wavelengths lambda0, lambda1, lambda2 attain lambda0>lambda1>lambda2. As a result, lambda0 is, for example, red, lambda1 is green and lambda2 is blue. The spectrum to three colors is thus possible.</p> |
