PURPOSE:To obtain a printing plate excellent in printing durability and reproducibility of images by anodically oxidizing an aluminum supporting body, electrolyzing in a soln. containing metal ion which forms physical development nucleus so that the ion adsorbed to the anodically oxidized film is reduced to the metal or metal alloy of physical development nucleus. CONSTITUTION:At least the anodically oxidized film side of an aluminum supporting body having an anodically oxidized film is electrolyzed in a soln. containing metal ion which constitutes physical development nucleus. Thus, a physical development nucleus is formed and then a silver halide photosensitive layer is formed thereon. The aluminum plate used for the aluminum supporting body is preferably pure aluminum or an aluminum metal plate containing a little amt. of various metals, silicon, magnesium, titanium or the like. Since the aluminum plate is to be used as the supporting body of a photosensitive plate, the plate is generally subjected to surface treatment before a photosensitive layer is applied. Generally, degreasing and anodic oxidation are generally performed as the surface treatment. |
