The invention relates to a drum-type washing machine with an oscillating assembly, consisting essentially of a tub made from steel and of a drum rotatably mounted in the tub, the tub consisting of a cylindrical casing, of a rear wall and of a front wall provided with a door orifice. The invention relates, furthermore, to a process for producing an oscillating assembly of such a drum-type washing machine. In order to provide an oscillating assembly which can be produced simply and cost-effectively, all the individual parts of the tub form a closed unreleasably interconnected system as a result of their connection technique.
