In the case of known contact terminals of this type, the contact clip, the retaining part for the terminal screw (threaded bush) and the hold down device (mating holder) for the carrier (for example a printed circuit board) of a contact track which can be moved into conductive connection with the contact clip are separate parts. The new contact terminal is intended to be capable of being produced more cost-effectively and to be more space-saving as a result of design simplifications. The contact tongue (15) and the guide and hold-down elements (13, 14) are parts of a single contact piece, which contains a body part (12) which is provided with a threaded hole (11) and accommodates the terminal screw (16) with the clamping piece (17).
