The invention relates to a novel design of a fastening device for use in the case of a drum which consists of a drum body and of at least one drum skin which is provided on one side of the drum body and is held and can be clamped by means of a clamping hoop, the clamping hoop having at least one annular hoop section which encloses an axis of the drum concentrically and extends in the direction of the axis of the drum, and which has, on an edge located remotely from the drum skin, an angle which is directed radially outwards, the fastening device consisting of a carrying element and of a clamping element for fastening the carrying element on the hoop section, and, in the case of the carrying element fastened to the clamping hoop, the hoop section being engaged behind by the clamping element or a clamping jaw of this clamping element.
