A ring binder/paper punch combination has a ring member housing (12), mounted on a thin metal strip (16) of a binder cover (14), in which sprung plates (18a, 18b) prestressing the ring member (10) are accommodated. An insertion frame (24) for sheets of paper is arranged between the ring member housing (12) and the thin metal strips (16) of the binder cover (14), and has upper and lower punched holes (20a, 20b) oriented according to the positions of the ring members (10), and a gap (12), which is open towards the front side of the insertion frame (24) and has a cover (30), mounted on the ring member housing (12), which has apertures (38) on the top at both ends. Perforation rods (34) extend from a perforation rod block (32) accommodated in the cover (30), and are introduced into perforation rod guide tubes (28), which are mounted in the insertion frame (24) with an orientation corresponding to the punched holes (20a, 20b). Pressure levers (42) for depressing the perforation rod block (32) have inner ends which are fixed to pins (40) so as to be rotatable in the cover (30), and the pressure levers (42) have downward-projecting points, situated between the inner and outer ends thereof, in order to contact an upper position of the perforation rod block (32), and have buttons (44) attached to the outer ends which project into the apertures (38) of the cover (30). <IMAGE>
