<p>A stabilized aqueous enzyme solution contains water, an enzyme selected from the group consisting of amylase, protease, and mixtures thereof, and an ionic compound which contains a cation having an effective nuclear charge greater than 2.6. The solution may, optionally, contain a carboxylic acid and a surfactant. The ionic compond may be selected from a preferred group consisting of the salts of strontium, cerium, yttrium ytterbium, lanthanum, and mixtures thereof.</p> |
