The pedalling device has a pedal crank which is mounted rotatably in a bearing. The bearing is provided in a frame which has further bearings for two wheels arranged at a distance one behind the other. Of these one is connected to the pedal-crank drive. The length of the pedalling arms is thus limited by the distance of the bottom-bracket bearing from the front wheel. So that the pedalling device can also be used optimally by people of different height, the bearing for the pedal crank is arranged at a distance from one wheel, which distance is at most equal to double the wall thickness of the bearing. As a result, the pedal crank may have arms which are substantially longer than the pedalling arms of conventional pedalling devices. The pedalling device can optimally be used by people who have long legs.
