Chimney head

The chimney head of a multi-shell chimney contains a central chimney flue (1), a covering panel (2) which encloses the chimney flue (1), at a radial distance therefrom, and a metal covering sheet which is seated on the covering panel (2) in a hat-like manner by means of a base part (3) and covers the radial distance between the chimney flue and the covering panel. A base connection stub (12) integrally formed on the base part (3) is covered by an annular cap (4) as a constituent part of the metal covering sheet. An inner pipe ring (15) is integrally formed on the upper side of the annular cap (4). The inner pipe ring (15) projects into the outflow opening (6) of the chimney flue (1). The chimney flue (1) exhibits a socket-like upper border (8) which forms the outflow opening (6). In the final mounting state, the inner pipe ring (15) is located between the inner side of the upper border (8) and a protective ring (5) introduced into the outflow opening (6). <IMAGE>
