The invention relates to a sliding slat-type covering for a motor-vehicle, with a sequence of sliding slats which are guided in a sliding manner at both ends, which run parallel to the direction of displacement, between a starting position and a final position, by guide means along guides, and can be brought into driven connection with one another by connecting means on actuation of the sliding movement. In order to bring about forcible displacement of the slats with just a few means for movement control and to improve the suitability of the slat-type covering for manual actuation of the sliding movement, the connecting means are designed as hooked connecting means which are arranged on the two ends regions of the slat ends and have stop surfaces which run on top of one another during the sliding movement of the slats.
