A corrosion inhibitor soln. for iron-contg. alloys comprises a mixt. of (A) 2,4-diamino-2,6-mercapto pyrimidine sulphate (DAMPS); (B) A Gp. IVB or Gp. VB oxy salt. Also claimed is a method of inhibiting corrosion using the above compsn.. The compsn. is pref. aq. and the oxy salt is pref. ortho-, pyro- or esp. meta-vanadate. The amt. of component (A) is 50-150 ppm and the amt. of component (B) is 50-150 ppm. |
