A bulb tray for use in forcing bulbs into bloom is provided with a base and raised side walls for accommodating the bulbs in an upright position. The base is of watertight design and is provided with a large number of at least approximately vertical pointed projections for pricking the bulbs at a distance above the base. The projections are preferably stepped, with a thin top point and a thicker bottom part. A mould for producing the bulb tray is also provided.
