Beschrieben werden Corticoid-17-alkylcarbonat-21-Carbonsäure- und Kohlensäureester der Formel I <IMAGE> mit A gleich CHOH und CHCl, CH2, C = O, 9(11)-Doppelbindung; Y gleich H, F, Cl; Z gleich H, F, CH3; R(1) gleich Aryl, Hetaryl; n und m gleich Null oder 1; R(2) gleich Alkyl, -(CH2)2-OCH3; R(3) gleich H, Methyl. Man erhält sie, indem man eine Verbindung der Formel II, <IMAGE> in der R(5) gleich OH ist, mit einer aktivierten Carbonsäure der Formel III, R(6)-CO-(O)n-[(C1-C4)-Alkyl]m-R(1) III umsetzt. Die Verbindungen I sind lokal und topisch sehr stark antiphlogistisch wirksam und zeigen ein sehr gutes Verhältnis von lokaler zu systemischer antiinflammtorischer Wirkung, das gegenüber analogen Corticoid-17-alkylcarbonat-21-estern, die im 21-Esterrest keine Aryl- oder Hetarylgruppe tragen, oft deutlich überlegen ist.
