PURPOSE:To transmit effectively a bending force to a roll and to improve the controlling accuracy of bending by constituting a titled bender by directly engaging a cylinder and a metal chock, used for providing the bending force to the roll, with each other. CONSTITUTION:A piston 25 is pushed up by supplying an oil pressure to the 1st oil chamber 24 of an intermediate-roll bending cylinder 18, and an intermediate roll-chock 15 is pushed up by a projection 23 provided to the front end of a piston rod 26, to provide an increased bending force to a roll. Further, when a decreased bending force is provided to the roll, the piston 25 is lowered by supplying the oil pressure to the 2nd oil chamber 27 of cylinder 18, to hitch the projection 23 on a projection 22 of intermediate roll chock 15. A force to move downward the roll chock 15 is provided by the projections 22, 23, to provide the decreased bending force to the intermediate roll. |
