PURPOSE:To eliminate the generation of an after image phenomenon in the position of the fast movement without generating a shading, by using tomographic image data before a correlation processing as tomographic image data after the correlation processing, depending on the result of comparison of a tomographic image for one scanning round and a tomographic image before one scanning round from the above tomographic image data. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic wave input by a probe 1 is detected by a reflection echo detector 2, and the detected signal is input to a correlation processor having a subtracter 5a, a ROM 5b, and the like, through an A/D converter 3 and a buffer memory 4, and the correlation between tomographic image data a(n) for one scanning round, and tomographic image data a(n-1) before one scanning round from the tomographic image data a(n) is found. And the decision whether a(n)<a(n-1) or not is made in a comparator 5d, and when the answer is YES, the data from an adder 5c is selected, and when the answer is NO, the data from the buffer memory 4 is selected, in a selector 5e. The selected data is stored in a frame memory 6, and the tomographic image is displayed on a display unit 7b depending on the tomographic image data for one scanning round. |
