COATED DIAMOND SINTERED COMPACT AND ITS PRODUCTION

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a high performance coated diamond sintered compact having a uniform, dense, tightly sintered and highly controlled microstructure. CONSTITUTION:Core particles made of diamond fine particles having <=10mum average particle diameter in the frequency distribution on volume basis are dispersed in gas at >=70% dispersity beta and collided against or brought into contact with a precursor of a coat forming material to coat the surfaces of the separate particles with the coat forming material and the resulting coated diamond particles or a mixture contg. the particles is sintered under the conditions of <1,850 deg.C temp. and <2,000MPa pressure under which diamond is not thermodynamically stable but metastable.
