PURPOSE: To provide a method for prefitting a hard member to a curved body having a geometric array approximatable by a cone. CONSTITUTION: A cone 76' is formed to have a three-dimensional pattern 78 superposed on the conical surface 80 thereof for an upper leg holding member. Also, the three-dimensional pattern 78 occupies a model fabrication position on the conical surface 80 extending from a knee to a knee joint turning axis 82. According to the formation of the desired three-dimensional pattern 78 on the conical surface 80, an analysis method based on the decision of the geometric array of the cone 76' is applied, and the pattern 78 is positioned on the conical surface 80, thereby specifying the geometric shape and spatial size of the pattern 78 mathematically.
