PURPOSE: To protect fixture and hygienic articles in contact with a human being's skin against the infection of a pathogen during the use thereof in a building and a device exposed to a danger of an infections disease contagion, by covering the surfaces of the fixtures and the articles with a metal containing a bacteriocide. CONSTITUTION: The metal containing a bacteriocide is used to cover fixtures and hygienic articles having surfaces made of an organic material or metal not containing the bacteriocide, and coming in contact with a human being's skin at the time of use in a building and a device exposed to a danger of the contagion of an infectious disease. In this case, silver and a silver alloy containing at least 1% of silver, or copper and a copper alloy are used as the metal containing the bacteriocide. Alternatively, a copper-tin alloy containing approximately 50% of tin is used as the metal containing the bacteriocide. In addition, the layer thickness of the metal containing the bacteriocide is taken at a value between 1μm and 100μm.
