PURPOSE:To provide a balloon catheter, possible to be inserted easily in blood vessel of a patient, the balloon part possible to be inserted to the correct position, without being pushed back by the blood flow and with excellent antithrombogenesity, and its production method. CONSTITUTION:This balloon catheter has a balloon part, being inserted into an aorta to inflate and to deflate to perform an auxiliary action of the heart function, and a catheter tube 24, being connected to the rear end of the balloon part 22 to introduce a pressurized fluid into and out of the balloon part 22. The catheter tube 24 comprises a base body tube composed by a hard synthetic resin with a linear elastic coefficient of 100kg/mm<2> or higher and a surface layer tube 24b made of an antithrombogenestic material covering the periphery of the base tube body. |
