PURPOSE:To provide a twist lock device for a spreader which can hold the swing center, spreading the swing range of a twist lock pin and a spreader for suspending a plurality of containers all at once. CONSTITUTION:The twist lock device of a spreader 3 is equipped with a twist lock pin 5 which projects downward on a spreader body 4 suspended in free vertical winding from a trolley 2, and the twist lock pin 5 is fixed by inserting the pin 5 into a locking hole 11 on the upper surface of a container 1 and tuning the pin 5. A spherical flange 32 whose undersurface is formed to a spherical form is installed on the twist lock pin 5, and a spherical surface bearing 31 on which the spherical flange 32 can be placed is formed on the spreader body 4, and the twist lock pin 5 is suspended in a swingable manner on the spreader body 4, and a spring member 37 for pressing the spherical flange 32 on the spherical surface bearing 31 is installed on the upper surface of the twist lock pin 5.
