PURPOSE:To carry out filing without losing any contents of punched paper by controlling a device so that an image is formed while avoiding the punched hole position in a paper passing mode, in which a hole is punched. CONSTITUTION:Before a start of a copying action, a user chooses whether image position control is carried out so as to shift an image area from punched hole positions or not. In a filing margin mode, control, by which the whole of a formed image (a part shown by a mesh) is slid so as to avoid punched holes 27, 27 and a filing margin (left margin) is made, is carried out, and in a punch mode, an image position is checked in every document, and the filing margin mode is automatically set only when an image exists in the punched hole positions 27, and subsequently, the copying action is carried out. In a reduction mode, control, by which the image is reduced so as to avoid the punched holes 27, 27, is carried out, and the reduction mode is automatically set to carry out copying in the case of the punch mode. In this way, the image and the punched holes 27 are not overlapped by each other. |
