PURPOSE:To make gas able to be cooled and filtered surely without cooling the gas generated by combustion of a gas generating agent too much as well as without increasing the exhaust of a combustion residuum, and simultaneously to simplify its structure and enable the reduction of manufacturing cost. CONSTITUTION:A cold collecting filter 16 is formed into a cylindrical shape by means of press forming of a knit wire. A gas generator is provided with an ignition chamber 8 with a squib 6 and igniting powder 9 in one end in a cylindrical housing 1. In addition, a pelletlike gas generating agent 15 is filled up in a combustion chamber 14, and it is burned by ignition of the igniting powder 9, generating combustion gas. The cold collecting filter 16 is supported by a supporting plate 12 installed in the other end in the housing 1, and it cools the gas so effectively and simultaneously it collects a solid residuum in the gas. The gas cooled and collected is discharged out of a gas exhaust port 2. |
