WASTE HEAT UTILIZATION DEVICE FOR CATALYST HEATER DRIVER

PURPOSE:To efficiently utilize energy by positively using waste heat from a catalyst heater driver which is operated during engine cooling for a short period so as to generate heat and also stabilize the operation and reduce the size and weight of a device itself by increasing heat radiating efficiency. CONSTITUTION:The heat sink 15a of a catalyst heater driver 15 which is operated during engine cooling for a short period to generate heat is installed on the venturi part 12a of a carburetor 12. Heat radiated from the heat sink 15a is transmitted to the carburetor 12, and a part of the heat is radiated from the surface of the carburetor 12. However the most of the remaining heat is stored in it. Because atomization and mixing of air 17 and fuel 16 are conducted at the venturi part 12a, the heat stored in the carburetor 12 is used to heat the mixed gas in a suction path. Thus the mixed gas becomes easier to evaporate and burn in a combustion chamber 14a.
