PURPOSE:To obtain a zeolite composition for a catalyst carrier with the plastic formability improved by mixing a zeolite powder with beta-1,3-glucan and a porous metal compd. CONSTITUTION:One hundred pts.wt. of zeolite powder is mixed with 0.1-20 pts.wt. of beta-1,3-glucan and 65-250 pts.wt. of a porous metal compd. Curdlan, paramylon, etc., are preferably used as the beta-1,3-glucan. Metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal phosphates or their mixture are used as the porous metal compd., and the metal oxides, metal hydroxides or their mixture are especially preferable. A metallic component is deposited on the compact of the composition or its sintered compact to form an NOx removing catalyst. |
