The method is used especially in the treatment of polyolefine plastics used for water pipelines, plastic covers or foils for the packaging of foodstuffs and pharmaceutical products or of assembly elements for interior decoration. During the treatment of the plastic, which is in molten state, under 0.5 wt.%, preferably 0.05-0.3 essentially hydrophobic molecular screen mesh of aluminium silicate is added having pore diameters over 5.5 A at mole ratio of Si to Al in the crystalline lattice over 35, preferably from 200 to 500, and sorption capacity for the water at 25°C and pressure 613 N/m2 under 10 wt.%, after which the plastic is moulded or injected. The average particle size of the molecular screen (mesh) is preferably under 5 mcm. The polyolefine plastic is preferably ethylene or propylene.
