摘要 PURPOSE:To extremely efficiently and simultaneously produce the subject high-quality compounds at an optional rate by extremely efficiently recovering and circulating respective unreacted substances in carrying out the hydrolyzing, deacetylating and cyclizing reactions of 1,4-butandiol in the presence of a solid acidic catalyst. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing 1,4-butandiol and tetrahydrofuran is to feed a 1,4-butandiol acetate from a pipe 1 to a reactor (A) filled with a solid acidic catalyst, water from a pipe 2 and a distillate circulating from the fourth distillation column (F) from a pipe 14 to the reactor, carry out the hydrolyzing reaction, feed the resultant reactional solution to the first distillation column (B), distill off water and acetic acid, take out high-boiling substances as a bottom product, feed the obtained bottom product to the second distillation column (C), take out 1,4-butandiol as a bottom product, distill off the 1,4-butandiol acetate, feed the resultant distillate to the second reactional zone (D) composed of the solid acidic catalyst, carry out the deacetylating and cyclizing reactions, then feed the prepared reactional product solution to the third distillation column (E), distill off tetrahydrofuran, water and acetic acid, take out high-boiling substances as a bottom product, bisect the resultant bottom product, circulate a part thereof to the second reactional zone (D), feed the remainder to the fourth distillation column (F), take out high-boiling substances as a bottom product and circulate the obtained distillate to the reactor (A).
