PURPOSE:To perform a multiple color printing at a high speed by providing a means to store image information in an image memory, means to store and expand the pattern for a character code, and a pattern forming means to correspond with 3 elementary colors. CONSTITUTION:When data is received from a data source 1, the data is taken out from an input buffer 2, and it is discriminated whether the input code is a control command or not. Then, if the input code is an area fill command, a color is set by turning an area fill flag on at the time of start, and turning the area fill flag off at the time of completion. When the input code is not a control command, a pattern to the character code is read from a pattern memory 7, and is written in an image memory 6, and if the area fill flag is on, an area fill of a closed area is done. In the case of data end or page feed, the image memory 6 is closed, and a video output to a printer 9 is done. |
