PURPOSE:To provide synthetic yarn or a fiber structure comprising the synthetic yarn with high hydrophiic nature and water dispersibility by a simple method in a short time and securely. CONSTITUTION:Synthetic yarn or a fiber structure comprising the synthetic yarn is irradiated with short wavelength UV rays (UV rays having wavelength shorter than 253.7nm, mainly 184.9nm or 253.7nm). Otherwise, the synthetic yarn or a fiber structure comprising the synthetic yarn, without pretreatment with a chemical, is irradiated with UV rays having the the wavelength. Difficulty in production process control and reduction in workability caused by contamination with a treating solution can be dissolved. |
