PURPOSE:To obtain the composition excellent in flame retardancy, useful for wide area including automobile, and the like, by incorporating a liquid crystal polyester resin made up of constituent units of respective specific formulas with a halopolystyrene and a hydrotalcite. CONSTITUTION:The composition can be obtained by incorporating (A) 100 pts.wt. of a liquid crystal polyester resin made up of constituent units of respective formulas I (R<1> is aromatic or aliphatic group; R<2> is aliphatic or alicyclic group) and II (Ar is aromatic group) at the molar ratio of (5:95) to (60:40) with (B) a halopolystyrene and a hydrotalcite in respective amounts expressed by the formulae III [X and Y are the amounts (pts.wt.) of the halopolystyrene and hydrotalcite, respectively] and IV [P is the content of the formula II based on the formula I plus formula II (mol%)]. |
