<p>PURPOSE:To reuse polypropylene carpet flocks discarded as industrial waste as flexible interior finish composite sheet. CONSTITUTION:Carpet flocks, which are prepared by mixing carpet fibers, styrene-butadiene lining material and polyethylene backing material with one another, are ground into finely divided particles of about 10-100mum and mixed and agitated with olefin-based polymer modifier, and finally extruded under the condition that the cylinder part of an extruder is set to be 170-195 deg.C and its T-die part is set to be 185-205 deg.C and, simultaneously with extrusion, laminated to various surfacing materials. The polyethylene of the backing material is made by heating into an integral body with the modifier, the finely divided styrene-butadiene rubber particles of the lining material, which are left through dispersion, imparts impact, resistance.</p> |
