<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an animal-repelling material excellent in repelling performance and safety and suitable for protecting electric wires, packaged materials, etc., from a damage due to biting of a rat, etc., by, e.g. blending an animal- repelling composition with an object for repelling of animals and subsequently coating its surface with a UV-curing top coating. CONSTITUTION:A microcapsule of an animal-repelling agent such as a capsaicin of the formula (R is a 7 to 12C alkyl or alkenyl) and/or a cycloheximide or an animal-repelling composition containing microcapsules of an animal-repelling agent and a resin is blended with an object for repelling of animals or applied to its surface. A UV-curing top coating is subsequently further applied to its surface, thus affording the objective material. In addition, repelling of animals can be preferably carried out by using the material.</p> |
