PURPOSE:To positively utilize an action for ascending an inclined ground through the steering of front and rear wheels for facilitating directional control operation on an inclined ground by setting up the steering neutral position of the rear wheels on the detected output of an inclination sensor for detecting the right and left inclination angle of a body. CONSTITUTION:In a steering control mode in the case of a normal even ground running, a steering neutral position is set up at a position where both front and rear wheels are in a parallel state to a vehicle body, and a steering angle is zero at the said position. When a vehicle runs in the direction of a contour on an inclined ground, an electric resistance value being the signal value of a inclination sensor 4 is altered by a manual rear wheel steering angle assistance dial 42, and the altered signal value is regared as the steering neutral position of the rear wheels. A neutral reference position is altered on the detection of inclination made by the inclination sensor 4 to carry out automatic steering control. Namely, the right and left inclinations are automatically charaged over on the output of a right and left inclination recognizing switch 43 actuated by a pendulum 36, and a resistance value set up by the rear wheel steering angle assistance dial 42 is put through to a rear wheel steering angle potentiometer 25 to alter the set up value. |
