PURPOSE:To provide a pneumatic tire which can improve resistance against hydro-planing and wet operation stability at the time of cornering. CONSTITUTION:V-shaped grooves 18 are provided on treads 12 by displacing by a predetermined dimension to the outside in the lateral direction of vehicle when a tire is mounted on the vehicle from the equatorial plane of tire CL (in the direction of arrow OUT), and sharply inclined grooves 20, 22 which cross the V-shaped grooves 18 are provided to form a block 24. Individual block contact area and negative ratio on the outside in the lateral direction of the vehicle are set to larger values than those in the inside in the lateral direction of the vehicle with a boundary line S which connects top-most vertices of the V-shaped grooves 18 as a boundary. Since the center of ground contact is shifted to a ground contact part on the outside in the lateral direction of the vehicle where large block area and negative ratio are set at the time of cornering of vehicle operation stability and resistance against hydro-planing at the time of cornering on a wet road surface are improved than before. |
