PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in light screening properties and also in sensitivity and dimensional stability and desirable for a screen printing plate by mixing a water-soluble polymer with a specified diazo compound and a specified perylene compound. CONSTITUTION:This polymer composition comprises a water-soluble polymer, at least one member selected from diazo compounds of formulas I and II and at least one member selected from perylene compounds of formulas III and IV. In the formulas, R1 is CH2 or CH-CH3; R2 is H or methoxy; X is SO4<->, H2PO4<->, Cl<-> or 1/2 ZnCl2; (n) is 2-200; R<3> to R<6> are each H or methoxy; X is HSO4<->, H2PO4<->, Cl<-> or 1/2 ZnCl2; R7 and R8 are each a 1-3 C alkylene; R9 and R10 are each H, methoxy or acetyl; and R11 and R12 are each a 1-3 C alkylene. |
