PURPOSE:To obtain the pigment capable of imparting high gloss to a dissolved and suspended material in a vehicle in a printing ink, a coating, etc., by adding a specific phthalocyanine derivative in wet grinding crude copper phthalocyanines in the presence of an inorganic salt and alcohols, etc. CONSTITUTION:This copper phthalocyanine pigment is obtained by adding (D) a compound expressed by the formula MePc-(SO3<-+>NR1R2R3R4)n [Me is two hydrogen atoms, Al, Fe, etc.; Pc is phthalocyanine residue; R1 to R4 are each independently H, a 1-30C alkylene, etc.; (n) is an integer of 1-8] in an amount of 0.1-20wt.% based on (A) a halogen-free copper phthalocyanine, a semihalogenated copper phthalocyanine or a monohalogenated copper phthalocyanine in wet grinding the component (A) in the presence of (B) an inorganic salt which is a grinding aid (e.g. NaCl) and (C) an organic liquid (alcohols such as n-propyl alcohol or polyols such as ethylene glycol) and removing the components (B) and (C) after completing the wet grinding. |
