Methylguanidine derivatives, for use as drugs, having general formula (I), wherein the asterisk is an asymmetrical carbon; each of R1, R2 and R3, which are the same or different, is hydrogen, halogen, a C1-4 alkyl radical, C1-4 alkoxy, phenyl or benzyl, or R1, R2 and R3, taken together with the carbon atoms in positions 5 and 6, form a C4-6 ring; each of R4 and R5, which are the same or different, is hydrogen, a C1-12 alkyl grouping, a benzhydryl grouping, an optionally substituted aralkyl grouping or a substituted alkyl grouping; Cy is an optionally substituted cyclic system; and X is -O-, -S-, (a), (b)-C1-4alkyl or (c)-phenyl.
